Coral Stitch is also known as Beaded Stitch or German Knot or Knotted Stitch or Snail Trail. You need to work from right to left, this is a straight stitch with a knot at the end, good for textured or curved outlines. To use as a filling stitch, stagger position of knots from row to row.
Step 1. Come up at A and loop thread over needle as shown. Go down at B (under thread) and up at C (over thread). Pull thread through to form knot.
Step 2. Repeat Step 1., going down at D (under thread) and up at E (over thread) as shown, then pull thread through to form second knot.
