Fly Stitch is also known as Y Stitch or Ope loop Stitch. Fly Stitch consist of a V-shaped loop, tied down with a vertical straight stitch, which can be varied in length. It works well as scattered, single stitches. To work vertical rows, draw parallel guidelines and place stitches close together.
Step 1. Come up at A, go down at B and come up at C, keeping needle over working thread.
Step 2. Go down at D, forming a small straight stitch to tie down loop. Come up at E to begin next stitch.
