This line stitch features pairs of basic buttonhole stitch worked at an angle so that they cross each other. A trellis filling stitch can be created by working on series of rows.
Step 1. Come up at A, go down at B, up at C. Go down again at A, leaving loop; come up at D through loop. Go down at E and up at F with thread under needle.
Step 2. Pull thread through gently. then loop thread under needle as shown, and go down at G, coming up at H. Repeat along row as desired.
